what is the area of this figure. will mark brainlest

Answer:
96 [tex]cm^{2}[/tex]
Step-by-step explanation:
[tex]A_{t}[/tex] = [tex]\frac{9*16}{2}[/tex] = 72
[tex]A_{r}[/tex] = 2*6 = 12
[tex]A_{r}[/tex] = 4*3 = 12
12+12+72 = 96
Answer:
Step-by-step explanation:
How i did this was I seperated the figure into recognizable shapes that i could easily find the area, the first shape being the right triangle. I found the height by adding all vertical right most sides of the other shapes which are 4cm, 4cm and 6cm. The sum came up to be 14cm and i multiplied this by 9cm to find the area of the triangle
[A = B * H (1/2)] => 9 * 14 (1/2) = 126 (1/2) = 63 cm^{2}
The next area of the shape i found was the 2cmx2cm sqaure which is easily 4cm^{2} and the last shape is the 5cmx4cm square in which the area is 20cm^{2}. Now to find the area of the original figureyou simply sum up the area answers that you've found which come to 87cm^{2}:
63cm^{2} + 20cm^{2} + 4cm^{2} = 87cm^{2}
