Hold fast to dreams
For if dreams die
Life is a broken-winged bird
That cannot fly.

Life is a barren field
Frozen with snow.

Dreams are a very important aspect of a persons life. Without a dream to dream, a you have no personality. The wing of the bird is part of the bird, and without the wings, the bird is incomplete.

 Same for a barren field. Once you let go of your dreams, you are not the same. For a field is supposed to be sunny and beautiful, not covered in snow.
