as we all know that all types of matter are not the same like all solids are not the same,neither all liquids nor gases.this is all explained by the classification of matter.
on the basis of internal composition of the matter, it is classified into two categories: mixture and pure substances. so we cannot classify objects according to just their color,size or shape because any two objects can have same color but their internal compositions may differ.
