Use the domain {-3, -2, -1, 0, 1} and plot the points on the graph that would best satisfy the equation. The bold grid marks represent one unit, the horizontal red line represents the x-axis, and the vertical red line represents the y-axis. y = 2-x

Respuesta :

he domain is all the x values

y = 2-x

y = 2-(-3)....y = 2 + 3...y = 5
y = 2 - (-2)...y = 2 + 2...y = 4
y = 2 -(-1)...y = 2 + 1...y = 3
y = 2 - 0....y = 2
y = 2 - 1.....y = 1

so using the domain {-3,-2,-1,0,1] the range would be {5,4,3,2,1}

Answer with explanation:

The relation between x and y  that is given to us is:

                 y=2-x

Now we are given some domain points i.e. x-values corresponding to that x value we may easily find out the value of y by the help of relation above and plot the corresponding point on the graph.

The domain is:  {-3, -2, -1, 0, 1}

when x= -3

we have: y=2-(-3)=2+3=5

i.e. we have point (-3,5)

when x= -2

we have: y=2-(-2)=2+2=4

i.e. the point is: (-2,4)

when x= -1

we have: y=2-(-2)=3

i.e. the point is: (-1,3)

when x=0

we have: y=2-0=2

i.e. the point is: (0,2)

when x= 1

we have: y=2-1=1

i.e. the point that will be plotted is: (1,1)
