In order to solve this, you can either find the range for x, or you can plug in the variables. 

-3(x - 4) > 6(x - 1)
-3x + 12 > 6x - 6
18 > 9x
2 > x

So you know x must be less than 2, and the only answer that meets this criteria is -1, so let's plug it in and see. 

-3(-1 - 4) > 6(-1 - 1)
-3 (-5) > 6(-2)
15 > - 12

This statement is true, so we know that -1 is the answer.
