Apple is a source of amino acids and energy, but not a source of fatty acids.
Each and every food has some or the other or even all the proximal components of food which include carbohydrates, proteins and fats. Studying the content of components of food that are present in apple, we can see that it has no fats, but has carbohydrates and no proteins and fats. But proteins itself is the component of cell, so protein can be obtained from apple. But no significant amount of fatty acids are found in apple. Some fatty acids like maleic acid is found, but is of no value to human body. The carbohydrates are present which supplies with energy.
