i havent read the book in a while so bear with me here.

so piggy was the kid that always wanted to follow the rules but after a while things were getting out of hand and the rules started falling apart. and when this happened society fell and people were killed including piggy proving the point that a society without rules or rules that are not followed is destined to be destroyed
