A pizza pie has 6 slices. 5 of the slices are equal
in size, except for the only slice with sausages,
which is twice as big as each of the other slices.
Without looking, John randomly picks a slice
by pointing somewhere in the pie. What is the
probability that John will not pick the sausage
slice?

Pretend that we cut the sausage slice in half. Then there would be 7 slices total.

We want to find P(Not Sausage).

Well since we sliced the big slice in two, we have 7 slices total. There are 5 slices without sausage.

The probability of getting a slice without sausage would then be 5/7.
