Which three words help show that the passage has a sad mood?
Autumn brought with it the death of greenery and liveliness. I felt like my spirit declined with the departure of summer. I used to sit by my window for hours yearning for the warmth of the summer sun. It was like the autumn had covered everything around me in a web of lifelessness. It was the most depressing time of the year for me.

The words ‘death’, ‘lifelessness’ and ‘depressing’ all connote sadness. These words are used by the author to highlight the narrators sadness at the change of the seasons. In addition, pathetic fallacy is used to demonstrate the mood of the narrator with the weather. This creates a darker feeling/mood still.
