Answer:

A succession to the floor that is accidental, attended with or without damage to the patient is defined as enduring fall. Every year nearly 7 lac to 10 lac patients practice falls in the United States. When a fall outcomes in damage such as scratch, fracture, discoloration or abrasion, it would rise the patients and the hospital’s costs. Study has revealed that nearly 1/3 of the falls are es-capable. It is a major accountability of the hospital team to avoid falls and deliver security to the patients.

Decisions made to develop the situation:

Universal fall provisions:

  1. Make the patient conversant with the situation
  2. Determine the call light
  3. Keep the patients effects within scope
  4. Deliver handrails in the toilet and in the passages
  5. Keep the bed brakes protected
  6. Dry and spotless floors
  7. Deliver non slip doormats
  8. Deliver satisfactory lighting

Evaluating fall risk aspects:

Fall history

  1. Use of assertive procedures
  2. Drugs that could cause sedation
  3. Mental status
  4. Continence
  5. Other risks: reduced vision, IV stand, ecological hazard, hypo tension and so on

Development and interference according to the risk features identified:

Post fall protocol:

  1. Root source analysis
  2. Risk aspects involved
  3. Methods in which the fall could have been prohibited

A situation of collisions happened with me as I was commuting to the coaching institute on my bicycle. I immediately took the advice of physiotherapists as I was limping while walking.

The collision happened due to the mistake of a woman on the scooter over the speed limit of the road. When a buffalo was crossing the road, both of them collided on me causing injuries to me and bicycle.

  • There are daily accidents of this kind that happen due to zero mistakes of the other injured person. Such road mistakes can be avoided if there are strict penalties and punishments on speed limits.

  • Also, measures such as not allowing stray animals like cows, buffaloes, street dogs on roads which will also help in providing them proper shelter as well as less road accidents.

  • The immediate expert advice was undertaken by myself consulting the physiotherapist who luckily happened to be less than a mile from the place of accident.

  • The physiotherapist scanned the knees and found out that my ligaments have a second grade bucket-handle tear and gave me proper therapy for the next few weeks. Now I can walk properly.

Hence, a complaint was lodged by me against such woman taking evidence as acceptance of such accident by eye witnesses present. Also, the clinical reports suggested the intensity of the accident.
