Salut, comment est-ce que vous allez ? (plural you)
Salut, comment vas-tu ?
Salut, comment allez-vous ? (plural you)
These are 3 ways of asking question. I only used the informal "you" 2nd p. singulier and the plural you (2nd plural) because if you had to use the formal you you wouldn't say "hi".....
But if you talk to at least two people, two friends, you have to use "vous"
