To start off, the 15th Amendment just said that the race, color, or former type of servitude must not stop a person from voting. This amendment gave way to the African-Americans to vote. Now, the 19th Amendment said that a person's gender or sex must not stop a person from the right of suffrage. This is an important part of history because the right to suffrage is just a step towards the idea that women are as capable as men. Moreover, they must not be treated lesser than the other gender simply because they are women.Â
