(i) Find the total percent of his money got by his son and daughter.

The man gave 35% of his money to his son, and 25% to his daughter, so the total percent of both is:

Total percent (son and daughter) = 35%(son) + 25%(daughter)

Total percent (son and daughter) = 35% + 25%

Total percent (son and daughter) = 60%

The total percent of his money got by his son and daughter is 60%.

(ii) Find the total percent of his money got by his wife.

The man gave 35% of his money to his son, and 25% to his daughter, and the remaining to his wife. We can write as:

35%(son) + 25%(daughter) + x%(wife) = 100%(the man total money)

Clear the x%(wife) in the equation

x%(wife) = 100% - (35% + 25%)

x%(wife) = 100% - 60%

x%(wife) = 40%

The total percent of his money got by his wife is 40%.

(iii) How much money did the man have?

The man gave to his wife Rs 27000 which represents 40% of the total money. To find how much money did the man have we have to use the rule of three as follow:

Rs 27000 -----------> 40%

       x       <-----------  100%

x = [Rs 27000 (100)]/40

x = Rs 2700000/40

x = Rs 67500

The man had Rs 67500

(iv) Calculate the amount of money received by his son and daughter

From the total of Rs 67500, the son received 35% and the daughter 25%, using the rule of three:

son(amount of money) = [Rs 67500(35)]/100

son(amount of money) = Rs 2362500/100

son(amount of money) = Rs 23625

daughter(amount of money) = [Rs 67500(25)]/100

daughter(amount of money) = Rs 1687500/100

daughter(amount of money) = Rs 16875

The amount of money received by his son is Rs 23625 and his daughter is Rs 16875.
