When we carry out an interview, we do not only get to know a person but also we do establish the conditions for he or she to be known by the world. The positive aspects of interviewing are:
1) Allowing a person to express him/herself
2) Giving the audience the possiblility of knowing the interviewee's point of view in his/her own words.
3) It enhances motivation in the interviewee before the possibility of being heard.
There are many benefits from doing interviews, let's mention some of the most important:
An interview is generally carried face to face (while there can be other instances still we can observe) the interviewer can directly notice the body language. This enables the participants of the interview to engage in a personal connection. While doing some initial questions and using intuition we gain a deeper knowledge of what is being asked and therefore there is always room for improvisation and learning something that was not explicitly part of a formula. While paper surveys only serve to gain mostly general information, an interview gives the chance to adapt to emerging circumstances and also to adapt further questions from the answer you are been given. In general, an interview focuses on individuals and their problems or also puts more attention on what information we want from some organizations or social groups as well.
