suppose you are hiking in the hills and you come across a wall of rock. you look closely at the rock and you notice a trilobite fossil embedded in it. what might this fossil suggest yo you about the hills you are hiking in?

A. The hills used to be volcanic and are now dormant
B. The hills, at one time, were under water
C. The hills were once at a much higher elevation
D. The hills are rich in sandstone

Respuesta :

Your answer would be B). The hills, at one time, were under water. Trilobite fossils are fossils that are rocks that have bones engraved in them. Trilobites are marine animals that have been extinct for thousand of years. Since they're marine animals, the hill use to have water. You wouldn't see a Trilobite fossil in a land where there has been no source of water.

Hope this helps out :)

The answer would be: B) The hills, at one time, were under water.

Explanation:

- Trilobite were once a marine creature. Trilobite's are extinct, that being said they are no longer living.

- Marine is basically  another word for Sea, which Trilobite were a marine creature.

Based on those two statements above, I can conclude that the hill's were once under water.

That being said, the answer is:  B) The hills, at one time, were under water.

I hope this helps! :)
