The mistreatment of steelworkers prompted the protest of several Russians in 1905. The blank spaces that contain details related to the event have been filled in thus;
- The people of Russia resented the tsar for many reasons. In 1905, Russians marched to Saint Petersburg to demand reforms, but soldiers massacred them, they shot them, killing and injuring more than 100 people. This event is called the Bloody Sunday.
- The tsar established a legislature, called the Duma, which had four different versions throughout its lifetime. In addition, the people resented the influence of Grigori Rasputin, a peasant faith healer who claimed to be able to heal Prince Alexei of his disease, hemophilia.
The steelworkers took to the streets in 1905 to protest the poor wages they received from the Russian government and their minimal representation in the government of the day.
They hoped to have a dialogue with Tsar Nicholas II but that was not to be as the soldiers rather gunned down the protesters.
This event occurred in 1905 in St. Petersburg. It is known as Bloody Sunday.
