When constructing a thesis statement, one important thing to keep in mind is that a thesis should be a statement (thus the name, “thesis statement”) not a question. The reason for this is because the best a question for a thesis could do (even if it is rhetorical) is allude to your position on the matter.
And, in writing, things should never really be left up to interpretation by readers. Be sure the thesis makes a statement of your position on a matter. As such, the first response is the best revision because it makes a clear statement regarding the author’s feelings on the two subjects to be discussed; the second response is a question, and the third and fourth responses omit one of the original items to be discussed.
