tom has 7/8 cup of olive oil. he uses 1/2 cup to make salad dressing and 1/4 cup to make tomato sauce. how much olive oil does tom have left

1/4 times 2 is 2/8 and 1/2 times four 4/8 so 2/8+4/8=6/8 7/8-6/8=1/8
