The other day my teacher took up a comic book I'd been reading in class and told me I needed to be reading "real" books. Now, granted, I should not have been reading any book in class other than what we were learning, but I think my teacher is wrong. Comic books are just as "real" as any other book. Comic books are often educational and teach students about subjects they did not know before. Comic books are also extremely fun and popular and give students a positive reading experience. I'm going to recommend that we put some comic books on the summer reading list for next year.
