The first step in protein synthesis is the transcription of mRNA from a DNA gene in the nucleus. At some other prior time, the various other types of RNA have been synthesized using the appropriate DNA. The RNAs migrate from the nucleus into the cytoplasm.
Transcription is the first step
of protein synthesis. There is transcription of messenger RNA from a DNA gene in the nucleus during this step which
means that the instructions encoded in the DNA
of the genes are transcribed into the nucleotide sequence code of a RNA. This
RNA is called messenger RNA because it carries a message from the genes to the
ribosomes and the message is read as a codon so as to arrange the amino acids
that produce the protein.
