What are the strengths and weaknesses of the US culture of innovation throughout history and today?

1. There are some similarities between the US technological development of 1800s and 1900s to its development now, both in business environments and the technological innovation. At that time US was undergoing the Industrial Revolution and now it is leading the IT Revolution. The US than and now is producing high-tech products that are of high quality and are cutting edge. These products are also in many cases available to the general public. From Tesla and electric cars to Apple and Microsoft leading the computer sector, US stands as one of the technological leaders in the world. New start-ups and business models are also being developed that are ushering a new era of corporations.

2. The strengths of the US culture of innovation is that they are always striving for better, more efficient and affordable products. This spirit of innovation has helped US stay the economic and technological giant it is today. On the other hands is that the progress often forgets it creators. The workers can end up with the short end of the stick, with bad pay or working conditions in order to maximize the profits. Also the laws sometimes cannot keep the pace with level of innovation.
