as we know that newton first law is also called law of inersia. in the cause of driving in car a passenger who wear a seat belt should not be the victim of injury because seat belt hold a person and the direction of force of seat belt is opposite of the motion which is cause by breake of the moving car or at any thing. so that's why a person not wonded seriously.
