The word that refers to
the whole Christian Church is “ecumenical”. Ecumenism represents the efforts of
Christian Churches to develop closer relationships and visible, organic unity
of different Christian denominations in some form. It is originally used in
terms as "ecumenical council" and "Ecumenical Patriarch"
which refers to totality of a larger Church rather than being restricted to one
of its constituent local churches or dioceses.
