The purpose of this discussion is to inform the reader why sugar is important. Sugar is delicious; it is in almost all foods, children and adults really like foods that contain sugar, especially chocolates, cakes and candies.
There has been a lot of talk in recent years about the amount of sugar in our diet and the consequences for our health. In this article I hope to explain the connection between the amount of sugar in our diet and the impact on our health. I say this because we all need to consume sugar, some in more amounts than others.
Did you know that in the world of science there are five basic tastes in our tongue? They are: salty, bitter, sweet and sour, but not everyone likes some of these flavors, so one thing is for sure: most people like sweetness!
Sweetness, which comes from sugar, has been around forever so why is everyone suddenly talking about it and why is it having such an effect on our health? The main reason is because we have dramatically increased the amount of sugar that we consume.
The general consensus is that sugar only comes from cakes, biscuits and fizzy drinks. So many people believe their diets are low in sugar and say they don't have a sweet tooth but, the reality is that there are only three different components (excluding water) of our diet. These are protein, fats and carbohydrates.
We have essential proteins (amino acids) and they are nine in total. We have essential fatty acids and everyone has heard of omega 3 fatty acids. There are no essential carbohydrates, but we are told to include them as the main component of our diet, because we also have to eat sugar in our diet, Of course, everything with measure.
According to you sugar is unhealthy and bad for us, however it is also the most necessary resource needed in our body. There is no energy source that can possibly replace sugar in this world and have the same effect. Tell us, what can possibly replace sugar without prejudicing our health.
Sugar is and will alway be part of a healthy diet so, Is there any Diet that can cut off or be without sugar?
