Introduction:
When we think about the colonies and the first colonists we often think of them living together, working
towards one goal. In fact, each region was different, had different goals and values. In this discussion
board we will look specifically at how the colonies prospered from 1607 to 1775-prospered so much, in
fact, that calls for independence from Mother England eventually led to war. The key people, events, and
forces that shaped Colonial America will be examined.
