The purpose of an introductory paragraph is to give the reader an idea of what is going to be talked about in the essay. As for the conclusion paragraph, it’s supposed to sum up all the ideas presented in the essay.
An introduction would contain for example, a hook to grab the reader’s attention, whereas in a conclusion, you could start it off with “In conclusion,” and just sum up everything
