Is this question coming from an exam or quiz? If so you should reach out to your teacher and tell them you don't understand.
If it is coming from homework:
Draw yourself a picture of two triangles Jim Triangle and then Riley's triangle. If it is a scale factor of 2 for example you will take your lengths of Jim's triangle and multiply by 2 to get Riley's triangle sides.
Do the same thing here but with 1/8.
Hint: You will need to make improper fractions and multiply the fractions together. Then simplify. It will be the easiest way.
