The difference between a scientific law and a scientific theory is that a theory can be proved wrong because it is just a theory. On the other hand scientific law is hard to disprove because it is backed up by a lot of evidence that makes it a law. A theory can be backed up but in order for something to be a law it has to have a lot of hard evidence to prove that it happens every single time.
